Booking and cancellation policy

At Nicki Mac Hair Extensions, we’re passionate about helping you achieve the perfect look with high-quality, natural-looking extensions. To keep things running smoothly and ensure every client gets the best service, please take a moment to review our booking and appointment policies.

Step 1: Consultation – Let’s Find Your Perfect Match

Before booking your hair extension appointment, we’ll meet for a personalised consultation. This is an essential step where we’ll discuss your hair goals, assess your natural hair, and match the perfect shade for a seamless, flawless blend. If you have any questions about the process, this is the perfect time to ask!

Step 2: Booking & Deposits

To secure your appointment, a non-refundable deposit is required. This covers the cost of ordering your custom hair extensions. The deposit amount will be confirmed during your consultation and must be paid before we proceed with your booking.

Step 3: Need to Reschedule? No Problem!

We know life can be unpredictable! If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 48 hours before your appointment. Your deposit will then be transferred to your new date.

Step 4: Cancellations & Refund Policy

Since hair extensions are custom-ordered for each client, deposits are non-refundable once the hair has been purchased. If you cancel a maintenance appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee may apply.

Step 5: Unexpected Situations? We’re Happy to Help

We understand that emergencies happen! If you need to cancel due to an unexpected circumstance, we may offer flexibility on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

Step 6: Stay in Touch!

If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We want you to feel excited and confident about your hair transformation!

By booking with Nicki Mac Hair Extensions, you agree to these terms. We can’t wait to help you achieve the beautiful, flawless hair you deserve!

Pre-bonded hair extensions after care

To properly care for pre-bonded hair extensions, ensure you: brush gently with a soft bristle extension brush daily, wash your hair 2-3 times a week with lukewarm water and sulfate-free shampoo, apply conditioner from mid length to ends, avoid excessive heat styling directly on the bonds, sleep with hair loosely tied, and always hold the bonds when brushing to prevent strain on your natural hair; consider using a silk pillowcase to minimize friction and tangles.

Key points to remember:

Gentle brushing

Use a dedicated hair extension brush with soft bristles, always brushing from the ends upwards and holding the bonds while brushing to avoid pulling on your natural hair.

Washing routine

Wash hair 2-3 times a week with lukewarm water.

Use a sulfate-free shampoo specifically designed for hair extensions.

Apply conditioner from the mid-length to the ends of your hair, avoiding the bond area.

Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze excess water before styling. Pat dry with a towel.

Serums, oils and leave in conditioner sprays add moisture and keep the extensions soft (mid lengths to ends only)

Heat styling

Avoid applying direct heat to the bonds with styling tools like straighteners or curling irons.

If using heat, always use a heat protectant spray.

Sleeping habits

Tie your hair into a loose braid or ponytail before bed to prevent tangles.

Invest in a silk pillowcase to reduce friction.

Other considerations

Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach on your extensions.

Be cautious when swimming, wearing a swim cap to protect your extensions from chlorine. Rinse with clarifying sulphate free shampoo

Certain Suncreams can discolour your extensions (avoid ones with avobenzone and octocrylene ingredients.

Regularly check for loose bonds and get them re-attached by a professional if necessary (£2 per bond inc cutting them in after)
